ITINERARY:
Day-1 Chandigarh- Dharamshala. Arrive at Chandigarh and proceed to Dharamshala (250 kms/ 6 hrs). Visit Norbulingka Institute, a must visit for a Tibetan cultural heritage experience and St Johns Church. O/n at hotel in Dharamshala.
Day-2 Mcleodgunj Visit and Chamunda Devi temple Darshan Today, visit Dalai Lama Monastery and Bhagshunath Temple at Mcleodgunj. Visit local street market for tibetan artefacts. Also, visit Chamunda Devi temple - one of the 52 shaktipeeths. Devi Sati's trunk had fallen here. Time permitting, visit Kangra fort & Brajeshwari Devi temple- another Shaktipeeth. Devi Sati's left breast had fallen here. O/n at hotel in Dharamshala.
Day-2 Mcleodgunj Visit and Chamunda Devi temple Darshan Today, visit Dalai Lama Monastery and Bhagshunath Temple at Mcleodgunj. Visit local street market for tibetan artefacts. Day-4 Dharamsala - Dalhousie. Visits around Dalhousie Travel to Dalhousie (130 kms /4 hours) . In evening visit local markets and local places to visit such as Churches in Dalhousie, Panchpula / Sat Dhara (confluence of 7 streams said to have medicinal effect).
Day-5 Khajjiar Excursion Full Day excursion to Khajjiar Meadows (22 kms), Khajjiar is known as Mini Switzerland of India. O/n at hotel in Dalhousie.
Day-5 Dalhousie- Amritsar Today, we procced to Amritsar (230 km/5 Hrs). Visit Jalianwala Bagh & proceed to Wagah Border (36 kms) for beating retreat cermony. In evening, return to hotel & proceed for Golden Temple, the most revered pilgrim centre for Sikhs.
Day-6 Departure Depart to Chandigarh airport/ railway station (240 km/ 5 Hrs). Tour ends
